Anderlecht/Belgium 17yr. old striker Romelu Lukaku

Interesting matchup in this first weekend of european qualifiers. World Cup third place Germany goes against a well-equipped and very capable Belgium. Belgium are a side that continues to improve thanks to the impressive youth setup the domestic league has adopted.

Jack Wilshere accused of taking pictures up skirts

Posted by mdavis on Sep.02, 2010, under The Game No Comments

Yes you are reading that headline correctly, this is not a misprint or an figment of your imagination.

Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere has been labelled ‘juvenile and rude’ (a badge most 18-year-old footballers would wear with pride) after being kicked out of a nightclub for allegedly trying to take pictures up girls’ skirts on the night he was arrested on suspicion of GBH.

20-year-old Josefin Rosen told The Sun a ‘drinking, but not drunk’ Wilshere repeatedly pestered her and her 29 (twenty-nine) friends, who were all out celebrating a birthday in the VIP section of London club Amika on Sunday night:

Improvements at the Emirates Stadium via 20/20

Posted by mdavis on Sep.02, 2010, under Entertainment No Comments

20/20 design firm is continuing their work with Arsenal to improve the fan experience at the Emirates stadium and I have to say that the place is looking first class.

The developments see the Woolwich suite in Club Level being divided into four distinctive areas – a buffet dining restaurant, a stylish bar, a high quality lounge and an exclusive à la carte restaurant named the WM Club, after Chapman’s revolutionary 3-2-2-3 WM formation, which will provide an unrivalled fine dining experience in sports stadia.

There is also the introduction of a luxurious new restaurant called The Foundry, which offers a buffet dining experience across two intimate spaces. The Foundry continues the celebration of past and present with contemporary lighting, furniture and finishes, contrasted by rich timber panelling and deep buttoned leather upholstered booths.

The enhancement also includes the refurbishment of the Legends Bar, which offers Club Level members the ultimate sports bar experience. The Legends Bar has been transformed into a stylish bar inspired by some of Arsenal’s all time greats whose portraits will decorate the elite area.

20|20 Creative Director, Jon Lee said: “Over the years we have been able to create and deliver new thinking on how a football club can best serve its loyal fan base. The trust Arsenal Football Club has installed in 20|20 has allowed us to work with them to develop a unique offer that will completely change the traditional match day experience. This will set a standard that others will follow but it is just the beginning.”

Check out the interview with Ashley A of the Chiva Girls, I am not so keen on her answers but the editing of the video is pretty funny. Check out chatting with a Chiva Girl after the break!
