So we all know that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has a lot of dough. Word on the street was that the recession had an averse effect on his wealth, cutting it down substantially. All of this is relative though, most people could live a life of luxury on what Abramovich would consider poor. Let’s just say that even if he lost half of his wealth he would still be a billionaire a few times over.

Well, to prove to us all that he’s still got it Roman has made a new purchase. a palatial estate on St. Barts for a mere £54million price tag. His new Caribbean holiday home includes 70-acres, a swimming pool with rock waterfall, in-water speakers and a swim-up bar, 1,000 ft. of beach, an outdoor cinema, and tennis courts. It even has a name: The Gouverneur Bay Estate. I wonder what it is like to live in a house that already had a name before you moved in.

What really blew me away is that he decided to have his house warming party on New Year’s Eve and some of the most non-Abramovich crowd showed up. The lengthy celebrity guest list included: Lindsay Lohan and her sister Ali, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr, and Jason Statham and his girlfriend, Alex Zosman.
