TF3 interviewed the directors from Pelada last March. The film has created a tremendous buzz around the world, and has struck a chord among all of us who care deeply about football.

Pelada is a documentary following Luke and Gwendolyn, two former college soccer stars who didn’t quite make it to the pros. Not ready for it to be over, they take off, chasing the game. From prisoners in Bolivia to moonshine brewers in Kenya, from freestylers in China to women who play in hijab in Iran, Pelada is the story of the people who play.

***EXCLUSIVE*** Todd Dunivant Interview with FloTV

Posted by admin on Jun.23, 2010, under Originals No Comments

The Final Third hooked up with FloTV, the mobile TV that you can take anywhere to bring you an exclusive interview with LA Galaxy and US Mens National team pool player, Todd Dunivant!

Dunivant played college soccer at Stanford University from 1999 to 2002. As a sophomore, he set a school record for assists by a defender with nine, and was named first-team All-Pac-10. Dunivant went on to register six goals and seven assists as a junior, and two goals and eleven assists as a senior, being named first-team All-Pac-10 both years, as well as a first-team All-American as a senior. Dunivant also played several years for the Boulder Rapids Reserve team in the Premier Development League. He has also played for many MLS teams. Jetski sat down with Todd and asked him some hard hitting questions, TF3 style!

Jetski: So Todd, first things first, the World Cup. What do you think so far?

TD: The US National team are going great, I think they’ll qualify for the next stage.

Jetski: Who do you think has the best chance of winning the World Cup?

TD: Germany or Argentina. Germany are always strong in competitions, and Argentina have class sprinkled throughout the team.

Jetski: Not England?

TD: No comment!

Jetski: Todd, the Galaxy are on fire right now. Why is this?

TD: We’ve basically carried on from where we left off last year. Defensively, we have only let in 4 goals in 13 games. That is outstanding. We have been playing consistently, players like Chris Birchall always putting in good performances.

Jetski: Talking of Chris Birchall, we asked him for some dirt on you but he said you were clean!

TD: Thats funny, he’s sat next to me actually.

Jetski: Say hello for us

TD: Okay

Jetski: Talking of the Galaxy, you guys are missing Edson Buddle, Landon Donovan, and of course, David Beckham… yet you are still pulling out the results, how do you explain losing three key starters and just being able to keep the momentum going?

TD: I feel like the whole squad has basically just stepped up. Players like Sean Franklin, Leonardo, Eddie Lewis and Kovalenko have really upped their game. We are blessed with a deep squad. With Beckham, of course we would love to have him, but it doesnt looke like hell be back this season.

Jetski: Tell us about the World Cup and how Galaxy training/traveling is interfering with it!

TD: Well Jetski, that’s the great thing with FloTV. All of my teammates are jealous, when we travel… there they are listening to music and i’m watching the World Cup on my FloTV. I watch the second game of the day in the dressing room on the FloTV, the picture and sound are great.

Jetski: Hopefully i’ll check one out soon!

TD: You should do, it really is an awesome unit.

Jetski: Well Todd, thanks for taking the time out to talk to The Final Third today!

TD: Pleasure, its a great site.

Thanks to Todd, and to FloTV, it was a great interview and he’s a super nice guy. If you want to check out FloTV, go to www.flotv.com

UNDFTD, Bumpy Pitch, The Argentineans and Power 106 all stars had all fallen by the way side and it was up to these two powerhouses.

L.A. Dodgeball Society had scored more goals, spikier hair, were better looking, had better fist pumps and more fans… but could they beat The Final Third? Nope, not a chance!

The Final Third has just interviewed the man who is perfectly placed between Champions League Finalist coaches, Jose Mourinho and Louis Van Gaal.

Frans Hoek served as one of Louis Van Gaal’s assistants while at Ajax, and then Barcelona. While at Barcelona, Jose Mourinho was also an assistant to Van Gaal, and this is where ‘The Special One’ learnt to coach. Who is better placed to talk about the differences and similarities in coaching than the man who was there and witnessed it all? Nobody but Frans Hoek…. enjoy!
