Improvements at the Emirates Stadium via 20/20
Posted by mdavis on Sep.02, 2010, under Entertainment No Comments
20/20 design firm is continuing their work with Arsenal to improve the fan experience at the Emirates stadium and I have to say that the place is looking first class.
The developments see the Woolwich suite in Club Level being divided into four distinctive areas – a buffet dining restaurant, a stylish bar, a high quality lounge and an exclusive à la carte restaurant named the WM Club, after Chapman’s revolutionary 3-2-2-3 WM formation, which will provide an unrivalled fine dining experience in sports stadia.
There is also the introduction of a luxurious new restaurant called The Foundry, which offers a buffet dining experience across two intimate spaces. The Foundry continues the celebration of past and present with contemporary lighting, furniture and finishes, contrasted by rich timber panelling and deep buttoned leather upholstered booths.
The enhancement also includes the refurbishment of the Legends Bar, which offers Club Level members the ultimate sports bar experience. The Legends Bar has been transformed into a stylish bar inspired by some of Arsenal’s all time greats whose portraits will decorate the elite area.
20|20 Creative Director, Jon Lee said: “Over the years we have been able to create and deliver new thinking on how a football club can best serve its loyal fan base. The trust Arsenal Football Club has installed in 20|20 has allowed us to work with them to develop a unique offer that will completely change the traditional match day experience. This will set a standard that others will follow but it is just the beginning.”

Jose Mourinho is at it again in the press and letting the world know what he thinks of Arsenal and the new look AC Milan. He is basically pissing off Wenger and putting a big smile on the face of AC Milan supporters. The funny thing is that you know everyone is listening.
José Mourinho does not believe Arsenal are capable of winning the Champions League this season. The Real Madrid coach, speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, said he thought only seven clubs have a chance of winning European football’s premier competition – and Arsène Wenger’s team were not among them.

Arsenal and Czech Republic midfielder Tomas Rosicky is looking to again make an impact at the Gunners after being injured for almost two years. In this International friendly, he plays just behind the strikers. Arsenal must have Rosicky in top form in order to contend in both the EPL and in Europe.

Mark Schwarzer has submitted a transfer request at Fulham, it has been revealed. The Sun says Schwarzer has stunned new Fulham boss Mark Hughes by slapping in a transfer request. The Aussie keeper, 37, wants to force a move to Arsenal, who bid £2million before the World Cup. But Hughes wants Schwarzer to stay and will play hardball.

Cesc Fábregas stays at Arsenal, leaving Barcelona waiting for another year
Posted by bpalmer on Aug.05, 2010, under The Game No Comments
An “exclusive”, coming from the Guardian: “…Cesc Fábregas is staying at Arsenal. Barcelona’s protracted and often tortuous summer-long campaign to lure the Spain midfielder back to Camp Nou is over. Arsenal’s captain held talks with Arsène Wenger, the manager, earlier today and the upshot is that he has been persuaded to remain at the club.”
