David Beckham at the Angels game in Anaheim

Posted by mdavis on Aug.30, 2010, under Lifestyle No Comments

David Beckham and the boys made a trip down to Anaheim to see LA’s other baseball team the Los Angeles Angel’s of Anaheim. Weir name right? It’s a long story. David looks about excited as most of us to go to one of the most boring events on the planet. A baseball game isn’t the most exciting thing in the world but try one at the end of August where the home team has no chance of making the playoffs. Absolutely awful!

Beckham’s vacation in Santa Barbara

The Beckham’s are possibly the coolest family in the entire world. As parents you couldn’t ask for two that are more in the know and the essence of cool. Most parents want to take you fishing in Yosemite or sightseeing at some irrelevant city on the East coast. Not this family, they hang out in a ridiculous Santa Barbara beach house with Gordon Ramsey and his family. Big props to David and Victoria for being the ultimate parents! I wonder what Gordon Ramsey is cooking for dinner tonight.

More pics after the break . . .

Apparently the Beckham boys favorite artists is Justin Beiber and they are dying to meet him. Justin heard about it and had only one request. Speaking of David Beckham he said,

“I am sure he would do anything to make his three boys happy, and if I am their favourite artist I would happily come and put on a private show at the Beckham household,” Bieber said.

“All I would ask for in return is that we go into his yard for an hour afterwards and he teaches me all those crazy things he can do with a soccer ball.”

West Ham’s co-owner David Gold believes David Beckham could play a key role in the club’s bid to move into London’s Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Games. Gold hopes that the Leytonstone-born Beckham would be the ideal ambassador to help the club win the right to move into the new facility — and he also suggested the 35-year-old could end his playing days with West Ham.

The new Adidas Originals – Star Wars Cantina commercial uses one of my favorite movie scenes as a kid and throws in guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, David Beckham, and Oasis. The clip also uses original content from the movie that features Harrison Ford. Check it out!

David Beckham visits troops in Afghanistan

Posted by mdavis on May.24, 2010, under Lifestyle No Comments

David Beckham made a long awaited trip to visit the British troops now deployed in Afghanistan. He stated that he had been wanting to make the trip for some time and that it was quite emotional for him to see the sacrifices made by the troops.

The British death toll since operations began in 2001 stands at 286.

He said: ‘I’ve represented my country on the field, and I’ve got great team mates and great friends, but every now and again I can let my team mates down on the field. You out here, you have to trust your friends, trust the people that you are next to, and your team mates, you don’t get another chance.

‘I have huge admiration for everything that you do, everything that you believe in, and everything that you are doing for our country; it’s a real honour for me to be here.’

‘I’ve never met so many patriotic people in my life. To shake hands, hear their stories and hear how much they are missing their families… it’s very emotional.

‘They are fighting, putting their lives on the line, it’s really something they are so passionate about, it’s humbling.’
